Where the money goes?

Every last penny from the sales of Broken Britain will go onto our next project, Big Boys Don't Send Postcard. We need to raise £5000 (Sterling) this is for phase one.

'Big Boys Don't send postcards' will be a high definition digital film, shot on Redone camera's with 35mm prime lenses, it will be shot in both Salford, Lancashire, UK, and in Tunisia which will double as Afghanistan.

THIS IS PHASE ONE: Film making is a costly game, and to make sure we have everything in order to make this film with the fans, we need some seed money, yes its a bit boring, this first phase enables us to:

• Have our paperwork in order, we are creating this film under a creative commons license, but we still need laywers to go over the contracts, so £2000 will be spent here.
• We are working with several ex soliders that have served in Afghan. We will communicate via the web, but we will have to meet, so we need money for several weekend workshops to develop the script £500
• We need a top class writer to take our notes, video diarys, our research etc and turn it into a 90 page screen play, writers are part of a guild 'the writers guild' the min payment for a 1st draft is £1300. I have a BAFTA nominated writer in mind, but need cash to approach him.
• Petrol/Meetings/train/phone/office etc everyday over heads for the next 2 months while we try and raise this money £200
• Finally once we have a rough outline for scenes, a script in progress and we are on our way i will spend £1000 on a test shoot, pulling in lots of in-kind support so i can make a 3min trailer for the film, to go up online and also do a live event to everyone that has donated thus far.

Then we can move onto phase 2, which is pre-production.

Once the film is complete, a high percentage, over the life of the film, will be given to Help for Heroes a UK based charity set up to help soliders injured in the UK, and also the British legion 'Poppy Appeal' which looks after UK vetrans.

Broken Britain is a film by Mark Ashmore. It examines the attitude to Soldiers in the UK.

Lewis, Sick boy, Tommo and Terry are on a night out. They are returning soldiers, drinking to their lost friend.

But the sign outside the club makes it clear that there will be 'No Soldiers' in tonight. How do you get in to pay your respects to your dead mates mum and apologies to your girlfriend?

This film is based on real life events, and follows the returning soldiers as they encounter some rather unfriendly bouncers, some students and finally the police.

Met by constant confrontation because of their job, frustrations start to show, and as they move into a final showdown who will crack first?
